Meet Erika

Erika Hubbard, LCSW

Hi! I’m Erika, founder of Bloom Mental Health. I’m so glad you are here!

Erika is a Maine-based therapist seeing couples both virtually and in-person in Portland, ME. Erika specializes in working with women and couples. Colleagues and clients describe Erika as grounded, thoughtful, and deeply attuned, with an ability to balance warmth, humor, and insight in a way that feels both supportive and empowering in the therapy room. In sessions, she offers compassionate presence alongside gentle, intentional challenge- creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in making meaningful, lasting change.

Therapeutic Approach

Erika takes a warm, relational approach to therapy and believes that feeling safe, understood, and grounded is essential for meaningful change. Many of the individuals and couples she works with are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, complex family dynamics, or significant life transitions that feel emotionally loaded or difficult to untangle. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, Erika offers a thoughtful, supportive space where you don’t have to hold it all on your own.

In her work with clients, Erika focuses on helping people understand the patterns shaping their emotions, relationships, and choices. Her approach is insight-oriented, strengths-based, and gently directive, drawing from evidence-based practices to support emotional awareness, clarity, and intentional change. She values collaboration and pacing that feels respectful, sustainable, and aligned with what matters most to each client.

For Erika, therapy is about helping people build self-trust, and deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships. Insight is used as the roots to meaningful, lasting growth inside and out the therapy space.
